Internal Dialogue
By Swami Rama

Uncontrolled thoughts lead to the asylum, but controlled internal dialogue leads to an understanding of the nature of the mind and helps in the path of meditation and contemplation.

If you do not want to meditate, then do not meditate. You should not fight with your mind; you should have a gentle dialogue with your mind. You will learn many things when you enter into this kind of self-dialogue.

Developing internal dialogue is a very important step, but one that few students understand. To succeed in meditation you have to develop this important step. You do not begin with meditation itself. First you learn to set a regular meditation time, and then to have a dialogue with yourself. In this process you are coming in contact with your inner, internal states. You are learning about the subtle aspects of your mind, your own conscience, and at the same time you are training yourself. If you don’t have time to have a dialogue with yourself, to fulfill the purpose of your life, that is a sin.

If you have a dialogue with yourself for a few minutes or hours before you do meditation, then your meditation will be good. If you do not do that, then you use your meditation time for self-dialogue, and then the “meditation” is not really meditation. So before you begin to try to meditate, you should sit down and talk to yourself, have a dialogue. In this manner many problems can be solved, and you will receive new insights. The state of meditation may not yet have actually been developed, but you can just relax and have a dialogue with yourself at exactly the same time.

Your task is to cultivate a relationship with your own mind. This process of dialogue is very important. You will enjoy internal dialogue, provided you take the time to do it well. Learn to make some time for this. Have a good, pleasant dialogue. To talk to your mind, you should have confidence. You have to realize that the mind is yours, but is has taken over. In this process, you start a dialogue, talking to yourself.

When you coordinate the way you think, the way you speak, and the way you act, that is perfect communication. Such a person has the capacity to become a sage. Your problem is that this inner perspective—and thus your knowledge—is not retained. It is as if your are pouring milk into a bowl with a hole in it. Your first effort should be to patch that hole, and then, when knowledge comes, it is retained. When you expand the capacity you have, you receive knowledge. In your self-dialogue you do not, out of egotism, start controlling your mind—you start by being a friend.

To have a friend is great. You share what you have with a friend, and he shares what he has. Understand that your mind is your friend. Be a close friend to your mind, a very close friend. Let the mind whisper those inner secrets to you, and put all things in front of your mind. This is the contract between you and your great friend, the mind. Put in front of your mind all your external problems, and your mind will share all its inner secrets and whispers. To do this, you need courage. This path of fire and light is tread only by the person who has courage.

Each of you has good qualities, but you do not come in touch with them. When you experience your negativity, then you develop many sicknesses. That is why having a dialogue is very important. When you have a dialogue, your mind has a tremendous capacity, a vast capacity. Your mind can tell you many things, but do not allow your untrained, unpolished, uncontrolled, and uneducated mind become your teacher. Let your mind remain a friend. When you talk to a friend there is a question of what you accept and what you do not accept. Do experiments with yourself: how often does your mind lie and how often is it accurate? Establish a friendship with your mind on an equal basis. Do not listen to the mind’s temptations, but do listen to its suggestions, good ideas, and advice.

When you have a self-dialogue, you may realize that God has graced you with everything. So who creates problems for you if you are not at peace? Your mind. You can have a dialogue with the mind and tell the mind, “When you do this to me, you are perhaps the greatest sufferer. You suffer and make the body suffer. Please be my friend.” Your mind can be a great friend or a great foe. If you use all your internal resources you will not have an enemy, but you will have a friend. That which is an enemy can be converted into a great friend. To learn to love, begin by being gentle in your dialogue.

The process of learning to have an internal dialogue will definitely help you learn to make a friend of your mind, and then you can begin the process of self-transformation.

Learn to counsel yourself and have a self-dialogue. Learn to mentally talk to yourself. Sit down and have a dialogue with yourself; ask yourself why you are doing an action. Then you will understand the process of habit formation. With all your idealization of sadhana and gurus and teachers, you have neglected one thing: you need to know something practical. You need to know a practical method of gaining freedom from those weaknesses which are difficult for you to resolve.

Your whole life can be one of meditation. One method is to ask yourself to consider some question that is on your mind. The source of the answers for such questions is exactly the same place as that from which the questions themselves spring. The question comes from within and the answer is also within. Your questions remain a question because you cannot withdraw yourself from the conflict for some time like a second person, and watch from a distance. When questions come, say to them, “Okay, come.” Do not push them away by repeating your mantra. That is not helpful; instead, let everything come before you for a decision—just watch.

You need to train your buddhi, the intellect, as well as the functions of manas, ahamkara, and chitta. This is the real training and the real education in life—when you start to educate yourself. In this kind of training, books can’t help you; nothing external will help you. You have to understand yourself. You need to ask yourself how you think, why you are emotional, and what the problems are with your mind. You need to question why you become emotionally disorganized, why you forget things, and why you do not attend to things properly. You need to consider why you often do not do what you really want to do. Put these questions to yourself and you’ll find the answers.

Such a dialogue is itself called “upanishad.” The word “upanishad” refers to those teachings imparted by a teacher. It is a dialogue between the student and the teacher: one wants to learn, and the other wants to teach, and both are very dedicated. A special kind of loyalty and sincerity exists between them. Fortunate are whose who are enlightened, and most fortunate are those who are prepared to receive the teachings. When a competent teacher, a great seer, has prepared his student, that dialogue is an upanishad. You can also enter into such a dialogue with yourself if you become a real student, and if you are committed, and have decided that you want to receive knowledge from within. There is a procedure for doing this that you should understand. The teacher in the external world has his responsibility. The responsibility of the external teacher is over when he leads his student to the path of silence, from which everyone receives knowledge.

The simple method to enlightenment is to first know yourself. Learn to work with yourself; don’t give up in that. Give up on anything else, but don’t give up that goal. Remind yourself, “I will continue to work with myself. I can do it, I will do it, and I must do it.” Remember these three sentences: “I can do it. I will do it, and I must do it.”

Whenever anything comes into your mind, ask your buddhi, the counselor within, “Should I do it?” The moment you ask, “Should I do it?” means you are counseling with your buddhi. You may commit mistakes, once, twice, or even three times, but buddhi will always guide you more and more clearly. Slowly your ego will become aware of the Truth. The day that the ego becomes aware of the Truth, that barrier that the ego creates every day will instead become a means. Then, the same power that is presently your enemy becomes your friend, and that is a delightful experience.

Internal dialogue is actually a contemplative method. Such dialogues strengthen the faculty of decisiveness and sharpen the buddhi, the higher intellect, which can penetrate into the subtleties of the inner levels. Mental dialogue is very healthy for resolving many conflicts that arise in the mind of the aspirant as it remains habitually traveling to the grooves of past habits. One example of this contemplative method of internal dialogue is to close the eyes and ask, “O mind, witness the world of objects, and observe the impermanence of those objects you long to achieve, to embrace, and to save. What difference is there in the objects of dreams and the objects of the waking state? What reason is there for being attached to the unreal things of the world; they are like experiences of the dreaming state. They are constantly changing, and you have no right to own them, for you can only use them. O mind, listen to the sayings of the great sages and teachers; follow in the footprints of those who have already trod the path of light and enlightenment. You will find that Truth is that which is unchangeable; Absolute Reality is that which is beyond the conditioning of time, space, and causation.”

If one does not appreciate and accept himself, it is because he has been doing negative meditation. This has made him what he is today. Worry is one form of negative meditation and it can become a deep-seated unconscious habit. One can create many diseases through his own mind and one can heal himself through this same mind. So one should learn to give himself feedback. “I am all right, and the life force is here in me. Why am I condemning myself? Why am I hurting myself?” That mind which has the power to create guilt feelings and many diseases also has the power to heal, for it is completely controlled by the thinking process.

Internal dialogue is an important practice which can help one remain aware of the reality within while he is doing his actions in the world. One should sit down every morning and talk to himself. This will help him learn more about himself, and knowing about himself, he will not become egotistical. All the ancient scriptures are actually dialogues. Christ talked with His apostles; Moses talked with the wise men; Krishna talked with Arjuna—these are all dialogues. We should also learn to go through a mental dialogue of our own. You should have a dialogue with yourself within your mind every day. A conscious process of inner dialogue like this can pacify one and wash off all bad feelings.

This dialogue is one of the finest therapies there is and prepares one for meditational therapy. Meditational therapy, if used and properly understood, is the highest of all the therapies and teaches one how to be still on all levels. Then by allowing the unconscious mind to come forward, one can go beyond it, and that inner reality comes to the conscious field and expands.

The process of purifying, cleansing and emptying the mind is absolutely essential for successful meditation. We must not seek too quickly and impatiently to achieve higher states and higher experiences before we have managed to empty the mind from disturbing thought and to calm it. In a monastery novices do not begin with meditation. First students are taught to purify their minds. Modern man is too impatient and wants to master the art of meditation immediately. Learn to have a dialogue between the observer and that which is being observed. Follow the imagination in this dialogue, analyze and observe the train of mental objects, and slowly control will be gained over these things. We rise above them, and they disappear from the domain of mind.

MY COMMITMENT TO NIGERIA

Preamble

Every country has its ‘lost generation’. Some were stolen away by war, some by economic downturns, and some by governments. Nigeria is perhaps the only country stolen by a cabal of political Mafias, merely for power, money, leisure and privilege. When the British administrators lowered the Union Jack in Lagos on October 1, 1960, Nigeria was Africa’s greatest hope. Its pool of talent mass of fertile land, and its newly discovered oil wealth, promised economic transformation and the role of leading the then independent African nations and those who were still struggling for freedom, under different forms of colonialism, to eventually lead the African Continent, onto the global stage.
Now, over fifty years of independence and despite our vast wealth – abundant natural and human resources, at home and abroad, we as a nation continue to struggle with the most basic needs (food, shelter, water, security sanitation, and electricity, etc. As a nation, we are paralyzed by wide spread poverty, endemic institutionalised corruption; high levels of unemployment; a near total collapse of our educational system and facilities, collapse and decaying health and ineffective social services systems, chaotic transportation and communications systems; and other basic but essential infrastructure; less than adequate institutions of government at all levels, resulting to break down of law and order, institutionalized insecurity to life and property; and weak, fragile and unstable economy, with non-functional financial institutions, etc.
Today, hospitals and universities are struggling with obsolete skills of by-gone centuries; insurgency controls large chunks of the Nigerian territories, kidnapping is now a profession and a cottage industry. For the little and common man and women who helped build this nation, things have never been so bad for these fellows. But for the corrupt politicians and big moneys bags, things have never been better.
Many Nigerians have completely lost faith in the country’s ability to govern itself. Nigerians have fundamentally, lost faith in the leaders at the helm of the nation’s affairs. The lack of confidence in the system and its leaders, erodes democratic principles thus further jeopardizing the country’s future.
Nigerians of goodwill, are angered by failures of corrupt and poor leadership. They are frustrated by economic policies that did not deliver on its promises. Nigerians are therefore impatient and want to regain their lost rights. Nigerians are worn out by conflicts, all over the country. Nigerians are now striving for a fresh start. This start must come from a new team, new ideas, that are committed to the promotion of acceptable and sustainable reforms. The mood now in Nigeria is changing as people begin to speak out more confidently against corruption, human rights abuses, and are not afraid to criticize and critique the unpopular policies of government. Throughout Nigeria there is ongoing debate on what is critical to the future of the country: CHANGE! POSITIVE CHANGE!!
What is certain in Nigeria today is that the ebtire country is in need of being fixed. The truth of the matter is that Nigeria today has all the indices for both success and failure. Skewing the role of the State towards serving special interests, dividing its citizens along ethnic and religious lines, trapping whole generations into avoidable poverty through educating the young with basically, no skill, etc., are all attempt to perpetually one set of corrupt leaders in power, forever, these are the indices of a failed state. However, assuming the will to power, by this other Nigeria, to remove the incompetent, corrupt leaders, with no progressive ideals, is the success side. The making of this competent team has become more urgent and imperative, but this can only be achieved through resilience and courage. I, Muhammadu Buhari have now come for the rescue. This is success by design. It will overcome our failure by design matrix.
The challenge, and choice facing all Nigerians at home and abroad is whether Nigerians have enough will and courage to unite, and resolve to radically move the nation forward –not looking backward to practices of a failed past, but building bridges to the positive fatherhood, motherhood, brother and sisterhood of the future! Again, my teaming supports are already leading the way to this possibility.
As a nation and the Sub Saharan Africa’s leading energy producer, we had in the past squandered the opportunity to build functional infrastructure to better the lives of the average Nigerian. We can no longer afford this luxury of inactivity. We must revive our public and private sectors in order to provide functional services and secure the good of the individual Nigerian and his or her family.
We are here commited to Change Nigeria:

READ: Buhari’s Emotional Letter to Delegates at the APC Presidential Primaries

December 10, 2014 is our Primaries Day. February 2015 will bring be our Presidential elections. As you know, the general trust level of politics, politicians and political leaders, is at an all?time?low. One may ask why? And we can as well understand why! After years of broken promises, hyper-corruption, the feeling that politicians have become too remote from the people, etc., it is no wonder that Nigerians have completely lost faith in the country’s ability to govern itself not just because of the problems facing the country, but the lack of faith in the present set of leaders at the helm of affairs.

The challenge, facing all of us as Nigerians is whether there is enough will and courage amongst us as citizens to unite, commit and resolve to radically reform, modernise and move the nation forward. I Muhammadu Buhari have resolved that the task ahead of me is that of Securing our Nation and Prospering our people –not looking backward to the failed policies and promises of the past. As I noted before, it is no longer a question of choice but that of the will and courage.

This document sets out our side of the bargain: the things I as your future president, want to do to change Nigeria for the better. I will however warn you all: I cannot do this alone. Each one of you and I must work together to get our economy on the right track, mend our broken lives, infrastructure, institutions, and the overall society. You must help me to reform our rotten political system, by getting involved, taking responsibility, and working together as a team.

I, Muhammadu Buhari believe that our politity, is broken. Our nation is in urgent need of a fundamental political reform. This requires honesty, integrity and forthrightness in order to improve governance, so as to make it transparent and accountable to the all Nigerian. Make me your Presidential candidate in both the Primaries and the Presidential elections.

THIS IS HOW I, WITH YOUR HELP, WILL FIX IT:
Politics and Governance
On Politics and Governance:

I, Muhammadu Buhari, believe that our politics is broken. Our nation urgently needs fundamental political reform and improvement in governance more transparency and accountable. If you nominate me in December, 2014 and elect me in February 2015, my administration will:

Initiate action to amend the Nigerian Constitution with a view to devolving powers, duties, and responsibilities to states in order to entrench true Federalism and the Federal spirit;
Strengthen INEC to reduce, if possible, eliminate electoral malpractices in Nigerian’s political life;
Attract the best and brightest of our sons and daughters into our politics and public service by aggressive recruitment of private sector people, academics, and professionals within Nigeria and in the Diaspora through internships, fellowships, executive appointments, and special nomination to contest elective offices;
Prevent the abuse and misuse of Executive, Legislative and Public offices, through greater accountability, transparency, strict, and implementable anti-corruption laws, through strengthening and sanitising the EFCC and ICPC as independent entities;
Amend the Constitution to remove immunity from prosecution for elected officers in criminal cases;
Restructure governance for a leaner, more efficient, and adequately compensated public service sector, while promoting effective participation of the private sector for more robust job creation programmes to employ the teaming youth.;
Require full disclosure in media outlets, of all government contracts over N100m prior to award and during implementation at regular intervals;
Reform and Strengthen the Justice System for efficient administration and dispensation of justice with the creation of special courts for accelerated hearing of corruption, drug trafficking, terrorism and similar cases of national importance;
Fully enforce the Freedom of Information Act l so that government held data sets can be requested and used by the public and then such data sets be publish on regular basis;
Amend the Constitution to require Local governments to publish their meeting minutes, service performance data, and items of spending over N10M.
Security and Conflict Resolution

On National Security and Defence: I will urgently secure the territorial integrity of the nation. I will never leave the defence of the nation in the hands of Hunters, Children, and Civilian JTF through the following:

Urgently address capacity building mechanisms of law enforcement agents in terms of quantity and quality as this is critical in safeguarding the sanctity of lives and property;
Establish a well trained, adequately equipped and goals driven Serious Crime Squad to combat insurgencies, kidnapping, armed robbery, ethno?religious and communal clashes, nationwide;
Consult and amend the Constitution to enable States and Local Governments to create city, Local government and State Policing systems, base on the resources available at each levels, to address the peculiar needs of each community. I will therefore work with the National Assembly to set and revised, when needed, boundaries of operations, for Federal, State, and Local government policing units, through new Criminal Justice legislation to replace the Criminal Code, the Penal Code and the Police Act.
I will push for more robust support in the Security and Economic stability of the West-African sub?region and African Continent as a whole. I will seek and maintain close and frank relationship with ALL of West Africa; Special relationship with South Africa and its Sub-region; UK, USA, Canada, EU, Asia, and the Middle East .
ON CONFLICT RESOLUTION, NATIONAL UNITY, AND SOCIAL HARMONY: I will

A KOREAN’S MESSAGE FOR THE FILIPINOS
18 July 2008
Written by Jaeyoun Kim

Filipinos always complain about the corruption in the Philippines. Do you really think the corruption is the problem of the Philippines? I do not think so. I strongly believe that the problem is the lack of love for the Philippines.

Let me first talk about my country, Korea. It might help you understand my point. After the Korean War, South Korea was one of the poorest countries in the world. Koreans had to start from scratch because entire country was destroyed after the Korean War, and we had no natural resources.

Koreans used to talk about the Philippines, for Filipinos were very rich in Asia. We envy Filipinos. Koreans really wanted to be well off like Filipinos. Many Koreans died of famine. My father and brother also died because of famine. Korean government was very corrupt and is still very corrupt beyond your imagination, but Korea was able to develop dramatically because Koreans really did their best for the common good with their heart burning with patriotism.

Koreans did not work just for themselves but also for their neighborhood and country. Education inspired young men with the spirit of patriotism.

Forty years ago, President Park took over the government to reform Korea. He tried to borrow money from other countries, but it was not possible to get a loan and attract a foreign investment because the economic situation of South Korea was so bad. Korea had only three factories. So, President Park sent many mine workers and nurses to Germany so that they could send money to Korea to build a factory. They had to go through horrible experience.

In 1964, President Park visited Germany to borrow money. Hundred of Koreans in Germany came to the airport to welcome him and cried there as they saw the President Park. They asked to him, “President, when can we be well off?” That was the only question everyone asked to him. President Park cried with them and promised them that Korea would be well
off if everyone works hard for Korea, and the President of Germany got the strong impression on them and lent money to Korea. So, President Park was able to build many factories in Korea . He always asked Koreans to love their country from their heart.

Many Korean scientists and engineers in the USA came back to Korea to help developing country because they wanted their country to be well off. Though they received very small salary, they did their best for Korea. They always hoped that their children would live in well off country.

My parents always brought me to the places where poor and physically handicapped people live. They wanted me to understand their life and help them. I also worked for Catholic Church when I was in the army. The only thing I learned from Catholic Church was that we have to love our neighborhood. And, I have loved my neighborhood. Have you cried for the Philippines? I have cried for my country several times. I also cried for the Philippines because of so many poor people.

I have been to the New Bilibid prison. What made me sad in the prison were the prisoners who do not have any love for their country. They go to mass and work for Church. They pray everyday.

However, they do not love the Philippines. I talked to two prisoners at the maximum-security compound, and both of them said that they would leave the Philippines right after they are released from the prison. They said that they would start a new life in other countries and never come back to the Philippines.

Many Koreans have a great love for Korea so that we were able to share our wealth with our neighborhood. The owners of factory and company were distributed their profit to their employees fairly so that employees could buy what they needed and saved money for the future and their children.

When I was in Korea, I had a very strong faith and wanted to be a priest. However, when I came to the Philippines, I completely lost my faith. I was very confused when I saw many unbelievable situations in the Philippines. Street kids always make me sad, and I see them everyday. The Philippines is the only Catholic country in Asia , but there are too many poor people here. People go to church every Sunday to pray, but nothing has been changed.

My parents came to the Philippines last week and saw this situation. They told me that Korea was much poorer than the present Philippines when they were young. They are so sorry that there are so many beggars and street kids. When we went to Pagsanjan, I forced my parents to take a boat because it would fun. However, they were not happy after taking a boat. They said that they would not take the boat again because they were sympathized the boatmen, for the boatmen were very poor and had a small frame. Most of people just took a boat and enjoyed it. But, my parents did not enjoy it because of love for them.

My mother who has been working for Catholic Church since I was very young told me that if we just go to mass without changing ourselves, we are not Catholic indeed. Faith should come with action. She added that I have to love Filipinos and do good things for them because all of us are same and have received a great love from God. I want Filipinos to love their neighborhood and country as much as they love God so that the Philippines will be well off.

I am sure that love is the keyword, which Filipinos should remember. We cannot change the sinful structure at once. It should start from person. Love must start in everybody, in a small scale and have to grow. A lot of things happen if we open up to love. Let’s put away our prejudices and look at our worries with our new eyes.

I discover that every person is worthy to be loved. Trust in love, because it makes changes possible. Love changes you and me. It changes people, contexts and relationships. It changes the world. Please love your neighborhood and country.

Jesus Christ said that whatever we do to others we do to Him. In the Philippines , there is God for people who are abused and abandoned. There is God who is crying for love. If you have a child, teach them how to love the Philippines. Teach them why they have to love their neighborhood and country. You already know that God also will be very happy if you love others.

That’s all I really want to ask you Filipinos.

WOW missing LINK to the SUCCESS of each and every Filipinos a decades of decades had past and that is LOVE for our country, LOVE for our neighborhood, LOVE for society and LOVE which GOD taught us! Please SHARE it, so that we Filipinos will be enlightened! And the question to POVERTY will be ANSWERED immediately...
GOD BLESS the Philippines!!!!

PLEASE SHARE so that we Filipinos will be enlightened... — with Gelli Babano and 51 others.

On this day in 1777, George Washington’s army marched into Valley Forge. The army would stay there for a long winter encampment. When you think of Valley Forge, you probably think of half-clothed and starving men, suffering through a long (long!) winter, barely surviving. But Valley Forge was so much more than that.

For one thing, the mood in Valley Forge was significantly better than you might imagine. Yes, some men were not well-clothed and suffered hardships accordingly. But the men who were more fully outfitted took the difficult outdoor tasks. And everyone pitched in, finding supplies in the area around them. Did you know that they built a small city of huts to house themselves? The National Park Service website describes the scene: “The sound that would have reached your ears on approaching the camp was not that of a forlorn howling wind, but rather that of hammers, axes, saws, and shovels at work.”

Yes! The men were self-sufficient! And determined! THIS is the ethic that our country was founded upon.

Other good things happened at Valley Forge, too.

Washington used the time to do two things: First, he used the long months to better train his men. Baron Von Steuben, a Prussian, arrived in February 1778. He ran training drills and generally helped the men to evolve into a more professional army.

Second, Washington used the time to reestablish his credibility with Congress. (His credibility was suffering after a few recent losses and A LOT of bad-mouthing.) In late January, a five-member delegation from Congress came to visit the army. Washington won this delegation over; the members of that committee became his allies and helped him to implement some of the reforms that he wanted.

Yes, the winter was long in many respects. Many men died from the flu, typhus, and other diseases. Yet, at the same time, the army improved. It emerged from its winter encampment better able to take on the British.

One final note: Did you know that George Washington literally never returned home from 1775 all the way until 1781? Throughout his life, Mount Vernon was the single most important possession that he owned. Yet for all the years of the Revolution, he did not return to his home. In 1777, this meant that he joined his men in a difficult winter encampment just outside Philadelphia.

Valley Forge is often painted as a time of despair—a low point—in our country’s history. Such a picture covers up the more inspiring story of what really happened there that winter.

I use to hate this man growing up because that's what they taught us in school. Aquino = Good,…. Marcos = Bad. But then i realized not everything they teach you in school is true. History is written by the Victors.

When I was young I was a supporter of the Aquino due to the fact that most people considered them as heroes, and the media and elementary grade history-books (SIBIKA) considers President Marcos as the villain. Even 2-3 years ago I am a great supporter of PNoy but as his reign as the president I am unsatisfied with his governance.

Then, a classmate and a friend told me that President Marcos was the best president and I my reaction is like "WTF!? that guy is the villain for goodness sake!".

Curiosity got the better of me and I research the history of President Marcos, there I understood that the people I looked up to in my childhood was false that is painted with baised opinion and the media, there my eyes opens as it showed me that the 'villain' painted during my 1st level of education is actually a HERO of this country.

I now know what President Marcos did, and it showed it was all for the best of my country and those who succeded him, especially the Aquino, are all frauds that should never have been given the position of the leader of this country!

Here are more facts..

( since ML was enacted for the purpose of their elimination )
Wala rin patunay na nagnakaw siya ng $36 billion

noong 1960 - 1980
Dahil walang ganong kalakeng pera ang Pilipinas
Nasa $3 - 5 billion lang ang pondo ng gobyerno kada taon
At bago mo makuha ung $36 billion
That means 90% ng pera ng bayan nanakawin mo taon taon
Which is so obvious to the point na
Di na aandar ung pamahalaan
( But thats not the case )
We saw many programs such as
- Masagana 99 Rice Self Sufficiency ( Nasira din by mid 1980s
- Metro Aide projects
- NLEX
- LRT First In South East Asia
- MIA was rennovated

( In 1981 MIA was among the modern in ASEAN )
- Hospitals
- 20,000 Classrooms in Schol projects in 2 years
- 1967 . Modernization of Air Force to Jet Age
- 1977. Modernization of newer Air Force Jets
- 1979. Development of Local missile programs

Sila napaandar nila ung inutang nila
> Naging mga LARGE BUSINESSES gaya ng
> Samsung , Kia, Hyundai, Hanjin, LG atbp
Ang Pilipinas wala. lahat ng mga pinundar na negosyo
gaya ng car manufacturing noon.
Bago pa man nag 1990s na bankrupt lahat
Remember 1983 - 1989?
How many Millions of Filipinos lost their jobs
to to political turmoil??
ang ganda ganda ng Economiya ng Pilipinas
nung 1973-1981. we were poised to be
at per capita $990 by 1987
Instead it was delayed by more than 20 years
1981 : $650
1982 : $705
1983 : $810
1984 : $705 ( Marcos was no longer in control )
1985 : $665
1986 : $555
1987 : $610 < ( was due to rising prices )
( So why blame 1983 - 1986 economic downfall on Marcos? )
Why not blame it on violent events that took place?
( That made BILLIONS OF US$ fly away from our Economy )
in just months left thousands unemployed
and left millions more to be forced to go Abroad!
Anlaking kawalan non
Mala Malaysia na sana na Economy by 1989
Instead na naibalik natin ung Economic status natin
with Malaysia and Thailand by 1990s
Wala. naunahan pa tayo ng Thailand at Indonesia!
( Is Marcos to Blame?? )

In 1981 our GDP was larger than Thailand and Malaysia
and our per capita was $705 ( half of South Korea )
Now our per capita is not even 1/8 of South Korea

6. "I have been using this pill for about 2 months now, and I have been seeing some noticeable effects from it. I’ve been suffering from moderate BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) issues for quite sometime now, and my doctor had recommended a few pharmaceutical drugs to help treat it. I tried a couple, but used to get bad side effects from them. I made the switch to Pumpkin seed formula, and things are going great. I think this product works so well because of the high quality ingredients they pump into it. I have also tried a lot of over the counter pills to help with my prostate function, but this Pumpkin seed formula seems to give me the best results. As I have said earlier I have only been using it for about 2 months now, but am thoroughly impressed by the results thus far.” - (SGD.) NELSON FELICISIMO D. LUZ
Retired DepED Education Program Supervisor

7. Naka dalawang bote na ako and i feel some relief of my nightly frequent urinating habit. - Rogelio Acedo

I purchased this product and after taking it for just 2 months, nag pa ultrasound ulit ako and my prostate volume size is now only 31.32 grams, normal size is 25-30 grams. Im thankful sa product na to dahil akala ko mag pa opera na talaga ako. - MANUEL LORETO, Founding Owner of Banahaw Heals Spa

9. This is my 5th day taking Pumpkin Seed Formula 2 tablets a day. Maraming salamat dahil mabuti na ang pakiramdam ko at magandana ang daloy ng pag ihi ko. Sana tuloy-tuloy na ang pag galing ko. - Harold, Ilocos Sur

- Anonymous

THE CAUSES OF OUR NATIONAL MALADIES ARE ESSENTIALLY ECONOMIC; SOCIALISM AS PANACEA TO THE CURRENT PARAPHERNALIA: i feel lugubrious and exasperated when watching Nigeria's capitalist elites donating cash at the PDP fund raising dinner in Abuja.these economic demons are the major problem we have in this country because whether or not we succeed in achieving our aim depend solely on the thoroughness with which we are able to remove the basic causes of our national ills and the extent to which we resolve from now on,to steer clear of those causes and tread a new path of national sanity and rationality.our national maladies our essentially economic.it is important that we find the right solutions for our economic problems or else we would not succeed in solving our political and social problems. In Nigeria Socialism is a much misunderstood, much misrepresent and much dreaded socio economic philosophy. I have heard it said in responsible quarters that socialism is a dangerous and pernicious foreign doctrine and ideology.it is time we realise that the supreme aim of socialism is social harmony via social justice.it is time we realise that socialism advocates equality among all men and women.it is time we realise that the most powerful, economically dominant class becomes also the politically dominant class and thus acquire new means of holding down and exploiting the oppressed masses.it is time we realise that socialism is the solution towards having a better and diversified economy.socialism is the solution to balancing the interest of the masses and elites and make Nigeria a social haven.it is time we realise that the critical size of the public sector necessary for effective planning is usually defined as a requirement of concentrating in the government's hands the so called commanding heights of the economy because the history of planned economic development cannot be successful unless and until the commanding heights, that is,basic industries, transport, communications, banking and finance, petroleum and power distribution sector are in the public hands.if a developing country wants to engage in effective economic planning its public sector has to embrace certain strategic spheres of economic activity.otherwise there is a serious danger that its planning remain mainly on paper.with the current situation in Nigeria where few capitalist elites exploit us to their private advantage and use their gargantuan revenue to expand their business and political agenda through the sponsoring and financing of candidates who later dance to their tune when elected.is this how we want to continue?we need to realise that unemployment breeds fraustration, resentment and anti-social tendencies;that poverty breeds envy and hatred of the affluent, antagonism to the society at large and rebellion;that disease breeds inertia, complete lack of enthusiasm, fatalism and dynamism;that ignorance breeds misunderstanding, promotes oppression and exploitation and eventually provokes, violent social clashes. Nigeria need to transform itself rapidly in to a modern economy.the world offers two kinds of solution for all economic problems.they are the capitalist and the socialist solution.capitalism which is our current economic system promote greediness, naked self interest, utter disregard for the interests and rights of others, destructive competition, opposition to any form of innovation, control or planning. It is generally agreed even by its most faithful advocates and devotees that the one and only motive force of capitalism is naked self interest and one of its essential characteristic is impersonal group loyalty.wherever there is capitalism then, unabashed group loyalty reign supreme;greed dominates the hearth of men whilst mutual and destructive antagonisms put on the cloak of orthodox business competition.the capitalist system extols the law of the jungle.we have all learnt that in the jungle only the most cunning, the most brutal and the most ruthless can exercise unfettered freedom and flourish.furthermore, in all its history, the capitalist system has never consistently redounded to the benefit of the common man.and in countries where it is practised,it continues to generate political instability, economic crisis, social upheaval, the rich becoming richer while the poor becoming poorer and it promotes the coexistence of extremes of affluence and poverty with all their attendant ugly repercussions.a system which has all these incurable evils is too bad and dangerous for Nigeria And Certainly does not deserve to be accomodated.i could now quite rightly take the validly logical position that by the elimination of the capitalist system,we are now inescapably left with the socialist type of solution.as i have said before, socialization or the public control of the commanding heights of the economy is a sine qua non of socialism but there are a number of practical problems of a technical and political nature which can beset socialization.in tackling this, the government need to mobilize a capital formation worth 68 billion dollars to pay compensation which will be due to foreign and local investors in the country,on the nationalization of their enterprises.it is my considered view that if we manage our fiscal and monetary affairs with prudence, honesty and due sense of patriotism,we can raise this amount of money within a reasonable period of time and the second is the efficient management of the nationalized enterprises.as regards nationalization,it must be the resolve of government to Nigerianize such enterprises completely and at the same time maintain and improve upon the existing standard of management and control.this is essential if we are to avoid the gross inefficiency which now characterises and plagues our statutory corporations and state owned companies.in this regard the first thing to do is to endeavour to ascertain the causes of failure in our public enterprises and remove them.in my view, there are two causes for the notorious performances of our public enterprises, all of which fortunately are curable and preventible. firstly,it is common knowledge that,as a result of nepotism, favouritism, extreme partisan politics, bribery and corruption,a good number of those who are appointed in to the senior category of high level employment in public enterprises and in the civil service have neither the academic nor professional competence, nor the experience nor the qualities, requisite for their assignments.it is well known that many of these people would not have been appointed in to equivalent posts under alien private management. the same evil forces which were responsible for wrong appointments in to the senior category of high level posts were also responsible for deliberate over capitalization of our public enterprises.these defects can be cured and prevented.there is the need for radical re-organization and improvement in our existing public corporations.the executives/managing Directors should be appointed based on their expertise and requisite qualifications.there is also need for re-education and re-orientation of all public servants.

Initiate action to amend the Nigerian Constitution with a view to devolving powers, duties, and responsibilities to states in order to entrench true Federalism and the Federal spirit;
Strengthen INEC to reduce, if possible, eliminate electoral malpractices in Nigerian’s political life;
Attract the best and brightest of our sons and daughters into our politics and public service by aggressive recruitment of private sector people, academics, and professionals within Nigeria and in the Diaspora through internships, fellowships, executive appointments, and special nomination to contest elective offices;

What is going on? Some guy from Baltimore comes up to NY and assassinates two police officers. I don't agree with all of NYPD and the way they carry out situations sometimes, but I would never wish death upon any of them even if they did commit crimes against citizens.

I'm not sure if these two officers ever did anything to anyone, but even so they did not deserve to be gunned down. You don't solve violence with more violence. The people have the power to change things, but there are not enough people actually making an attempt and who have gotten too comfortable with their lives to make any such moves to create change.

We re-elect the same people which we disapprove of or don't vote at all. Things can change, but everyone has to put an effort into making it happen. Firing off guns and rioting only creates more problems. If you want change, then show more interest in your local government and elect the people you know will protect your rights as well as uphold the law.

Write your congress man/woman and if they don't respond, vote for somebody who will. People do have power, but it only works with team effort. We as a society need to come together and start making changes that we want. Stop thinking Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian and start thinking American. Look at all the separation we create in our daily lives. What has it given us? Hatred, corruption, tension.

It seems that people look for the negative because if you want something positive then you have to work for it. It's easy to achieve the negative, but the positive is a goal and you have to work towards your goals. We are a nation that almost wiped out an entire race of people and the races that have taken over are doing everything they can to make the other look bad.

It has become a race war. Each side looking for sympathy and leverage while those who are just trying to live their lives are caught up in the melee. Two officers were murdered because a police officer, who they probably have never met before, was involved in the homicide of a man who they said was resisting arrest and force was necessary.

I understand the anger, I agree that officer shouldn't have used that move on Garner, but because he died does not mean that others have to die as well. The man who shot these officers obviously had issues and needed help. There are people walking the streets right now who need to be under supervision. When these people are allowed to walk the streets there is no telling what will happen.

Look at what happened a couple months ago when that man who came out of prison stabbed two innocent children in an elevator. He obviously needed help and did not belong on the street. The organizations that we pay taxes to run our city are doing a 50/50 job and that's due to us, the people not being involved enough.

It's not just NYPD, it's Social Services, Depart of Transportation etc, they all have their pros and cons.

Stand up, speak up, get involved. Everyone wants change, but not enough people are putting an effort. Forget marching, you see that barely does anything but start riots and people get arrested. Become political and get involved. Go to town hall meetings, write congress and senate, find a political party that you truly agree with and help it thrive.

If you do nothing, you get nothing. If you make an attempt, you'll see a result.

Violence is not the answer. Education and courage is.

Dr. Devesh Kapur, Director of the Centre for the Advanced Study of India, an expert on human capital, diaspora and political and economic change in developing countries, has come down heavily on BJP government's education policy!

"The trajectory of the Narendra Modi government’s education policy has been “disappointing and makes one apprehensive.” It makes me apprehensive. I don’t see any fundamental change in a view — common to our Left and the Right — that somehow, higher education is something to be controlled, centralised. Politics has always been there.
The decision of the UPA (Government) to give reservation to OBCs in higher education was one such. The Left destroyed higher education in West Bengal, the one sector the State was doing well. Mr. Modi is not being imaginative. Larger questions of centralisation, autonomy, etc, are not being addressed," Dr Kapur said in an interview!

Who Is Jeshua?
I am the one who has been among you and who you have come to know as Jesus.
I am not the Jesus of your church tradition or the Jesus of your religious writings.
I am Jeshua-ben-Joseph; I have lived as a man of flesh and blood.
I did reach Christ consciousness before you, but I was supported in this by powers which are beyond your imagination at present. My coming was a cosmic event - I made myself available for this.

It wasn’t easy. I did not succeed in my endeavours to pass on to people the immensity of God’s love. There was much misunderstanding. I came too early, but someone had to come. My coming was like throwing a stone in a large fishpond. All fish flee and the stone sinks into the deep. There are ripples noticeable long after though. One might say that the kind of consciousness I wished to convey, did its work underground after that. At the surface of the pool there were constant ruffles; well-meant but misguided interpretations rose to meet and fight each other in my name. The ones who were touched by my energy, moved by the impulse of Christ energy, could not really integrate it with their psychological and physical reality.

It has taken a long time before Christ consciousness could set foot on earth. But now the time has come. And I have returned and speak through many, through all and to everyone who wants to hear me and who has come to understand me from the quietness of their hearts. I do not preach and I do not judge. My sincerest hope is to speak to you of the vast and unfailing presence of Love, accessible to you at any time.

I am part of a much larger consciousness, a greater entity, but I, Jeshua, am the incarnated part of that entity (or field of consciousness). I do not like the name Jesus much, for it has become so caught up with a distorted version of what I stand for. ‘Jesus’ is owned by the church traditions and authorities. He has been molded to fit the interests of the church patriarchs for centuries, so much so that the prevailing image of Jesus is now so far removed from what I represent, that it would truly please me if you could just let it go and release me from that heritage.

I am Jeshua, man of flesh and blood.
I am your friend and brother.
I am familiar with being human in every way.
I am teacher and friend.
Do not fear me. Embrace me like you’d embrace one of your kin.
We are family.

Jeshua, Jesus and Christ
The Christ energy that I came to offer you stems from a collective energy that has gone beyond the world of duality. This means that it recognizes the opposites of good and bad, light and dark, giving and taking, as the aspects of one and the same energy. Living from the reality of Christ consciousness means that there is no struggle with anything. There is a complete acceptance of reality. This absence of struggle or resistance is its main characteristic. Since Christ (or the Christ energy) recognizes the extremes of all thoughts, feelings and actions as the manifestation of the one divine energy, there can be no duality, no judgment in the way ‘he’ (the christed energy) experiences reality.

Let’s give an example here. When the Christ in you watches an armed conflict between people, her heart weeps for the fate of the beaten one, but she does not judge. She feels the pain and humiliation with each blow, and her heart is filled with compassion, but she does not judge. She watches the offender, the one with the gun, who has power, who inflicts pain, and she feels……..the hatred and bitterness inside of him, and her heart grieves, but she does not judge. The heart of Christ embraces the whole spectacle with deeply felt compassion, but without judgment, for she recognizes all aspects as experiences she has gone through herself. She herself has lived out all of these roles, of offender and victim, of master and slave, and she has come to the understanding that she is neither of them, but that which underlies both.
The Christ energy has passed through all the energies of duality. It identified itself now with the dark, then with the light, but through it all, something remained the same. And when she realized this “sameness” underlying all her experiences, her consciousness obtained a new kind of unity: it was “christed”. The christed energy was the energy I came to offer you.

Who I was is quite difficult to explain. I will try so by distinguishing between three ‘identities’: Jeshua, Jesus, and Christ.

I, the one who is now speaking, am Jeshua. I was the human being who carried the Christ energy in my incarnation on Earth. This energy may also be called Christ
.

Jesus - in my terminology - is the name for the Godlike man who was the result of theinfusion of Christ energy into the physical and psychological reality of Jeshua.

This Christ energy was poured into Jeshua from spheres of Light which are - from your standpoint - located in your future. Jesus was the man who performed miracles and put forward prophesies. Jesus was an emissary from the spheres of light, incarnated in me. In fact, he was my future self. Jesus was, from my perspective as the man Jeshua living on earth, my future self, who had become one with the Christ energy. Because the Christ in him was clearly present and visible to many people around him, he appeared to them as divine.

I, Jeshua, was a man of flesh and blood. The unique and to some extent artificial aspect of the “Jesus-construction” was that I received his/my Christed self from the future. I did not become christed on the basis of my past and the experiences therein. I did not achieve enlightenment in a natural way, but by means of an intervention from outside so to speak, by an infusion of Christ energy from the future. I had agreed to play this role before I began this lifetime. I agreed to be ‘overshadowed’ by the Jesus presence, as an act of service, and also because of a deeply felt longing to get to know the reality of my deepest potentials.
Jesus, my future self from the spheres of light, had become one with the Christ energy. Yet he did not represent the entire energy of Christ here on earth, for this energy encompasses more than Jesus. He is one part or cell of it.

Christ or the Christ energy (it is more like an energy field than a personal entity) is a collective energy which has many aspects or “cells”, which are cooperating in such a way that they function as one “organism”. All cells make a unique contribution to the whole and experience themselves as individuals while being part of the whole as well. One might call these several aspects of the Christ energy angels or arch-angels. It is the hallmark of angels that they have a sense of individuality as well as a high-degree of selflessness, which allows them to feel one with collective energies and be joyfully in their service. The notion of (arch) angels is elucidated in the last chapter of the Lightworker series ('Your Light Self').

Jesus’ mission on earth
Jesus was an energy from the future who came to earth to bring illumination and knowledge to humanity. He came from another world or even dimension, and he brought with him the elevated energy of this reality. His awareness of his own Greater Self remained intact while he incarnated on earth. Because of his presence in me, Jeshua, I could easily realize the flexibility of material laws and “perform miracles”.

The reason why the Jesus/Jeshua personality came to earth was to create an opening or doorway to a different state of consciousness. I wanted to set an example of the possibilities that are available to each human being.

In the spheres of light where Jesus came from, it was felt that the earth was going into a direction which would end up in great darkness and self-alienation for the souls involved in the earth experiment. It was decided that a powerful impetus for change was going to be given which would clearly show human beings the choices available to them. By sending the energy personality of Jesus, we wanted to hold up a mirror to human beings and remind them of their own divine origin and the dormant potentials they carried within. The potentials for peace, freedom and mastership over yourself.
Every human being is the master of his own reality. You are creating your own reality all the time. You are able to let go of a miserable or unsatisfying reality and allow Light to enter and transform your creation. Man is his own master, but he tends to give his power away to outside authorities who claim to know the truth and to want the best for you. This happens in politics, medicine, education, and etcetera. Also, your “entertainment industry” is full of false images about happiness, success and beauty, which serve no one except the ones who construct them. Have you ever thought about how much money is spent just creating images? In the media, the newspapers, the movies, on radio and television, images are spread all the time. Where do these images come from? Why are they there? Who designs them?

Images are a means of exerting power over people. Images can make people subservient and disconnected from their true needs, without the use of physical force or violence. Images can make people voluntarily give away their own power and self-worth. They delude you in such a way that you need not be violently forced into anything; you will accept the values portrayed by the image as your own and act accordingly. This is what we would call invisible mind-control and it is rampant among your ‘free’ western societies.

The function of Light is primarily to bring clarity, awareness and transparency to the invisible structures of thought and feeling that shape your life. Light is the opposite of mind-control. Where Light enters a reality, it breaks the bonds of mere power and authority and it breaks down the hierarchies based on it. It holds misuse of power up to the light and it frees people of delusions and illusions that take away their power for self-determination.

Jesus was a threat to the ruling order at the time he lived. By what he told people and sheerly by what he radiated, he caused structures of power to be seen for what they truly were. This was unbearable and unacceptable for the existing hierarchy.

The role of Lightworker, which Jesus took upon him, was heavy; especially for me, Jeshua, the human being who agreed to carry this intense, bright energy in my lifetime. I, Jeshua, was almost overshadowed by the force of Jesus’ presence, the presence of my future self! Although it filled me with great insights, love and inspiration, it was quite a challenge physically to carry or “hold” his energy. I could not really integrate his energy into my physical being - the cells in my body were ‘not ready’ for it yet - so on a physical level my body got exhausted from carrying these intense energies of Light.
Apart from the physical aspect, there was also a psychological burden to carrying the Christ energy. I found it very hard to watch the nature of the Christ energy being misunderstood frequently, even by my closest friends or ‘disciples’. As the human being that I was, I sometimes became desperate and doubted the value of the journey I undertook. I felt that the world was not ready for the Christed energy. I felt that its essence was not recognised. Jesus was truly a pioneer in his time.

Results of Jesus’ coming to earth

By the coming of Jesus to earth, a seed was planted. It was the seed of the Christ energy. People were moved by what I said and did, and unconsciously, at the soul-level, they did recognize the Christ energy. Deep within their souls, a memory was stirred. Something was touched and set in motion.

At the surface, on the level of what can be seen and felt in the physical world, my coming created much commotion. In virtue of the law of duality, the powerful infusion of Light creates a powerful reaction from the Dark. This is just a matter of logic. Light is confronting. It wants to break structures of power and set the imprisoned energies free. Darkness is the energy that wants to suppress and control. So these two energies have opposing interests. Where one gains in power, the other will strike back to defend itself and regain balance. Thus, my coming to earth also initiated much struggle and violence, as a counter reaction to the Light I came to spread.

The persecution of my followers, the early Christians, is one example of this violent counter reaction. But the Christians themselves, the founders of the Church, did not shun violence either in their pursuit to spread my teachings. Think of the crusades and the Inquisition. In the name of Christ, the most barbaric deeds of darkness have been performed, by Christians as well as non-Christians.

The masters of Light, who decided to send me as an emissary to earth, were aware of the fact that the intense and unprecedented energy of Jesus might invoke strong reactions of darkness. Jesus penetrated the reality of earth like a comet. It was a kind of emergency measure from the spheres of light, from energies which were deeply concerned with earth and its inhabitants. It was an ultimate attempt to divert the direction in which the earth was heading, a way of interrupting cycles of ignorance and destruction which kept on repeating themselves.

The results were ambiguous. On the one hand, the Light of Jesus invoked much Darkness (by way of counter reaction). On the other hand, the seed of the Christ consciousness was planted in the hearts of a number of people. An important reason for my coming was to awaken the lightworker souls on earth. (See the other channelled material for an explanation of the notion of lightworker). They would be most sensitive and receptive of my energy, although many had become lost in the density and darkness of the earth plane as well. Lightworkers are in fact emissaries of Light with the same mission as Jesus. The difference is that in their incarnation in a physical body, they are less connected to their wider divine Self than I was. They are more subject to the karmic burdens and illusions of the earth plane. They are more bound to the past. With the incarnation of Jesus, something special was occurring. Jesus did not carry any karmic burdens from the past and he could therefore more easily keep in touch with his divinity. He was here in a somewhat artificial way, a presence from the future, being here and there at the same time.
The consciousness of the beings of Light which jointly decided to ‘insert’ the energy of Jesus into earth reality at the time was not perfect and all-knowing. Every conscious being is in the process of developing and understanding itself all the time. Among humans, there is a persistent belief that everything is predestined by some divine plan; behind this belief is the notion of a dominant, omniscient God. This notion is false. There is no predestination by an outside force. There are only probabilities which are the result from inner choices you yourself make. My coming to earth was based on a decision made by a collective energy of light, which Jesus was a part of. It was a choice that involved risks and an unpredictable outcome.

The collective energy of light I am speaking of is an angelic realm that is deeply connected to humanity and earth because it helped to create man and earth. Actually, you are part of them and not separate from them at all, but we are now speaking multidimensionally, i.e. on a level of consciousness that is outside of your linear framework of time. In another dimension or framework of time, you are these angels that make up the spheres of light, from which Jesus descended to earth. (See the last chapter of the Lightworker series ('Your Light Self') for an in-depth explanation of multidimensionality and your angelic nature). You – lightworkers - are much more interconnected with ‘the Jesus event’, this infusion of Christ energy on earth, than you suppose. It was to some extent a collective endeavour, to which you all contributed, and from which I, Jeshua, was the visible, physical representative.
My message was that the Christ energy is present in all human beings as a seed. When you look up to me as some kind of authority, you have misunderstood my message.

I wished and still wish to invite you to believe in yourself, to find the truth within your own heart, and not to believe in any authority outside of you.

Ironically, the official Christian religion has placed me outside of your reality as an authority to worship and obey. This is quite the opposite of what I intended. I intended to show you that you can be a living Christ yourself.

I now ask you to recognize the Christ within, and to return to me my humanness.

I am Jeshua, man of flesh and blood, and truly a friend and brother to you all.

Dissenting Justice
CRITICIZING RACISM IS DIVISIVE ONLY IF YOU WANT IT TO EXIST OR BELIEVE IT DOES NOT EXIST. FIGHTING RACISM IS UNIFYING FOR PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT JUSTICE.

Several readers have said that criticizing racism among law enforcement is divisive. Why? "Because white people suffer from police abuses as well, and if you make it about race, you just lose support for 'your' cause. Instead, we should focus on everyone. There is only one race -- the HUMAN race."

Numerous commenters on this blog have made this plea for universality. They might not know, however, that people have made these arguments within US social justice movements for over a century. Those of us who have studied and who teach about social movements are familiar with all of the arguments. This is nothing new.

Here's how I responded to one reader's plea for universalism. Note: I added a few touches to improve the original post.

DISSENTING JUSTICE: I am comfortable participating in causes that deal with poverty (I'm not poor), sexism (not a woman), immigrants rights (I'm a citizen), child welfare (I'm an adult), due process (not in the criminal system), education policy (not a student or parent of a student), climate change (will probably not be on the planet when the worst happens), healthcare reform (I have insurance and can afford it), unemployment (I have a job), bilingual education (not in school, not an English-learner), rape (not a rape victim), world hunger (have access to nutrition), domestic violence (not a victim), and numerous other social causes. I do this because I care about justice and the well-being of people who occupy the planet with me.

Why are you so reluctant to support a cause that seeks racial justice? Why are you so hostile to the reality of racism among members of law enforcement who engage in unlawful conduct against persons of color? If you really oppose police brutality, why would you refuse to join a movement against this problem because participants in that movement believe race contributes to the problem?

I never said that race was the ONLY or even the primary reason for police misconduct. And no one can point to any statements that I have made that even imply this. Instead, you have interpreted my posts that way. Why? Race is a significant social issue, and this blog is committed to addressing this issue. Anyone who cares about justice should share this commitment.

I am quite familiar with the law. I teach constitutional law and civil rights. I have studied, taught, and written about numerous abuse cases involving people of all races, ages, gender identities, sexual identities, class backgrounds, etc. The modern gay rights movement started as a rebellion against police harassment. It was called the Stonewall Riots. I have written about this in my scholarship.

I have the intellectual capacity to engage simultaneously or individually the many different factors that contribute to the pervasive and persistent problem of police misconduct. But, for you, focusing on race erases everything else. It seems as if you have some hangup about race. Race cancels out everything else for you. You are so bothered by the idea that race impacts police brutality that simply recognizing this reality makes you feel "isolated" and reluctant to work for the "my cause" of justice for victims of police brutality. That's a very peculiar stance, particularly given the numerous sources of injustice in our society.

This stance is also bizarre because the fight against racism has often united members of our society. The Civil Rights Movement, for example, included blacks, Latinos, Asian Americans, whites, Jews, labor unions, religious institutions, and other participants. Despite this history, you argue that contesting racism causes alienation and division. Why?

Examine your own heart to determine why you feel isolated from or do not want to be associated with causes that seek, in part, to eliminate racism. Racism is a social problem. It impacts our nation. As a member of this nation, you should not feel isolated from the task of fixing our problems -- including racial injustice. I do not feel isolated when women contest sexism. Why should whites feel isolated from antiracism? Two reasons come to mind, and they are both pretty bad. First, this could result because SOME whites do not believe racism exists. No one wants to join a movement without a cause. Or, whites who are angered by antiracism might appreciate the status quo and are bothered by efforts to change it. This is a bad position for obvious reasons. I am only hypothesizing at this point. Perhaps those of you who are revolted by allegations of racism in regards to police misconduct could provide some feedback. In the meantime, enjoy the photos of people united against racism.

Good day!

I was thinking about this last night! I am by far the least racist person you will ever meet! Some of my close and true friends are of a different race! We all bleed red!!! People plz quit making race an issue!!! There are good and bad I'm each race. The only way all this negative in the world is going to stop is by coming together!! If you have any negative comments don't even posy on this!! If I see any more negative race comments at all you will be deleted!! " if you can't love your brother whom you have seen, how can you love God who you haven't seen" thanks and God bless!
Moe Patton
sooooo...i've been doing tons of research because I truly want to know what the issue is with cops vs civilians...not just black, but all races. Everything I have seen so far has been pretty right on. yes, there are bad cops out there. There are racist cops out there. Here's the problem....and I'm just going to post a few quotes to support my statement...

Which brings me to the issue of race. USA Today analyzed the FBI’s “justifiable homicide” statistics over several years and found that, of roughly 400 reported police killings annually, an average of 96 involved a white police officer killing a black person. (There were actually 461 police killings) source 2013 FBI uniform crime report

So out of 461 killings, 96 were a black person killed by a white cop...what about the other 365???

Bureau of Justice Statistics reported that in 2004, state courts had over 1 million felony convictions. Of those, 59 percent were committed by whites and 38 percent by blacks. But when you factor in the population of whites and blacks, the felony rates stand at 330 per 100,000 for whites and 1,178 per 100,000 for blacks. That’s more than a three-fold difference.

McCoy noted that this has more to do with income than race. The felony rates for poor whites are similar to those of poor blacks.

"Felony crime is highly correlated with poverty, and race continues to be highly correlated with poverty in the USA," McCoy said. "It is the most difficult and searing problem in this whole mess."

So the answer to me would be, get an education...it's free. Get a job, easy to do if you are educated and speak intelligently. Stop committing crimes. Yes, black people tend to get pulled over, tend to get frisked more...it really depends on what area you are in and the population. Down where I grew up in my teenage years WHITE people are pulled over and frisked. I'm just so tired of hearing about all this race crap. If you stop committing crimes you would not be looked at badly. Yes, it's wrong to look at a couple people and make an assumption about the entire race. But let's look at it this way. Black people from the "city" look at white people from the suburbs as hicks. It's really no different. I grew up in my younger years on the 300 block of Beaver Street. I was raised to respect the law, get an education...there were people who were raised on the same block around the same time as I was and have done nothing with their lives but committ crimes. It is a decision people. A decision to better your lives. It's not easy. I still struggle. Would it be easier for me to rob and kill someone? Of course, but that's not how it's supposed to work! Stop boohooing about shit! Die-in's??? Really??? Seriously almost peed myself laughing. Mike Brown was an idiot...there should be no riot or protesting for him. Now, the man that was choked to death. I could see rioting for him...that was wrong. There are many ways to restrain a suspect. Best believe if I was a police officer I would use the hell out of my taser! Shooting out knee caps work too...I could keep rambling all day, but the truth is that white and black people get shot by police officers. The difference is that when white people hear about a white man being killed by a cop they said what the hell did he do now. When a black man is killed it's automatically a RACE thing. Even if it's not a white cop, it's still a race thing. The cops that were shot yesterday were not white. It's a pure 100% lack of respect for both themselves and authority...done rant.

Good morning, all! I just received an email from Laura Romanik that she is starting a Foundations obedience class on select Thursdays this winter. Laura was the presenter at the GLNC Education Day in March of 2013. This class is a competitive obedience class and is not meant to address basic manners or pet problems. If you are looking for a top notch, introductory competitive class in the Detroit area, this is for you. There is a class during the day and one at night. Classes will be handled as a drop-in, so if the weather is bad, class is just cancelled. No worries about a reschedule and then not being able to make that. For more info, drop me (or Marie Acosta) an email and I can forward her email with the schedule and prices. Full disclosure, the only interest I have in Laura's classes is if she gets enough people for this, she runs the class and I can take it, too!

SPACE PROGAM ang Pilipinas before 2000!
Totoong baon sa utang ang Pilipinas noong 1980
Pero alam nyo ba...
Na mas baon ang South Korea kesa sa atin sa utang??
Sila napaandar nila ung inutang nila
> Naging mga LARGE BUSINESSES gaya ng
> Samsung , Kia, Hyundai, Hanjin, LG atbp
Ang Pilipinas wala. lahat ng mga pinundar na negosyo
gaya ng car manufacturing noon.
Bago pa man nag 1990s na bankrupt lahat
Remember 1983 - 1989?
How many Millions of Filipinos lost their jobs
to to political turmoil??
ang ganda ganda ng Economiya ng Pilipinas
nung 1973-1981. we were poised to be
at per capita $990 by 1987
Instead it was delayed by more than 20 years
1981 : $650
1982 : $705
1983 : $810
1984 : $705 ( Marcos was no longer in control )
1985 : $665
1986 : $555
1987 : $610 < ( was due to rising prices )
( So why blame 1983 - 1986 economic downfall on Marcos? )
Why not blame it on violent events that took place?
( That made BILLIONS OF US$ fly away from our Economy )
in just months left thousands unemployed
and left millions more to be forced to go Abroad!
Anlaking kawalan non
Mala Malaysia na sana na Economy by 1989
Instead na naibalik natin ung Economic status natin
with Malaysia and Thailand by 1990s
Wala. naunahan pa tayo ng Thailand at Indonesia!
( Is Marcos to Blame?? )

In 1981 our GDP was larger than Thailand and Malaysia
and our per capita was $705 ( half of South Korea )
Now our per capita is not even 1/8 of South Korea
