HAND-THROWN POTTERY: Join A4E Artist, Dawn Ziegler, for a demonstration and class in the art of Hand-Thrown Pottery on Sat., 8/9. Originally from Arizona, and now an instructor at the Main Street Art Center, Union City, Dawn is recognized as one of our Region’s premier pottery Artists. The class/demo will cover the following techniques: throwing, throwing off the hump, trimming, and the addition of handles, slip and decorating techniques. The class will be around 2- 21/2 hours long.
NAVAJO RUG-WEAVING & FABRIC ART: Come and visit with A4E Master Fabric Artist, Judy Hanninen, as she
demonstrates the Art of Navajo Rug-Weaving on Saturdays at the RED BARN. You can also learn the Arts of
Spinning, Weaving, and Drop-Spindle Spinning from Judy. Cost per class is $30. Materials are included. Please

BLOCK CUTTING/PRINTMAKING: Witness Artist, Matt Luebbert, as he creates the blocks for his incredible prints. Matt,
a native of Union City, is recognized regionally, and beyond, as one of the few remaining masters of this ancient Artform.
A native of Union City, a wide selection of Matt’s prints and unique pottery is available at the RED BARN every weekend.

CAROUSEL CARVING DEMONSTRATIONS: Join Carousel Artist, George P. Nowack for a series of demonstrations in the art of carving Carousel animals as he recreates an exact replica of the Dentzel Rabbit which rode the Carousel at CONNEAUT LAKE PARK from 1910 till the 1980’s. WATERCOLOR CLASS: Watercolor classes will be held at the RED BARN at the student’s convenience on either Sat. or
Sun., throughout the season, during regular Barn hours (10AM-4PM). Materials, except for brushes) are included. Cost is $40. Session duration is based on student request. Student may visit the RED BARN to paint whenever he/she wishes after the basic class.
ZENTANGLE: Beginners class available 3rd weekend, June through August. Beginners class costs $30.00.
This includes: pen, paper, pencil, and patterns, short history and lots of fun! Class time is from
10:30 am to 1:30 pm Sat or Sun depending on interest. Regular Zentangle Class is available after
you take beginner class for $10 each. June thru August on 3rd weekends Sat or Sun depending
on interest. A discount is offered if you pre-register for beginners class and the following 3
classes. $50.00. This Must be prepaid. Registration 3 to 5 days in advance, and prepayment is
encouraged so we may start on time and get to Tangling!!
NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY: Students will be guided through the Art of Nature Photography by one of the Region’s most respected and recognized Nature Photographers, Terry Werneth. Each class will be a “one-on-one” experience with the instructor, and will take place in of the region’s wildlife areas/trails. Students must provide their own photography equipment. Session times and dates are arranged through the Instructor. Cost is $30.

• ARTS & CULTURE ROUNDTABLES: Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) is presenting two Arts and Culture Roundtables with the candidates for Cuyahoga County Executive to speak directly to our arts and culture community.
